I discovered my passion for cruises 17 years ago when I joined RCCL as a Shoppy. Working on board was intense, but it connected me with incredible people who remain my good friends to this day.
What I love about cruising the world is awakening in a fresh port, immersing myself in the unique flavors and vibes of each new country. I'm a bit like Tom - my preference is for a premium experience, a home-away-from-home ambiance infused with diverse food cultures. It has to feel like a resort on the open sea.
We created Vitamin Sea UK to show that cruising isn't for who you think it is...

Ahoy! Lover of English sparkling wine, Steak on the blue side and a sunset of sea, I fell in love with cruising from an early age. My first sailing was onboard the Original Star Princess belonging to Princess Cruises. The ability to roam a ship with friends or grab a milkshake, a plate of food or jump in the pool when I wanted, at the age of 7, was the most freedom I'd ever had!
For me cruising allows you to unpack a suitcase once, but experience the tastes, smells and cultures of a new destination every day. When a cruise line gets it right you're also immersed in the culture onboard too, through activities and cuisine.
When I look for a cruise line I look for a resort, with premium service, amazing food and comfortable surroundings. I want to feel at home onboard, but I dont want to feel like im in the UK. I want to be transported away from my day to day at every touch point.
My dream cruise would be in Polynesia and my dream ship is one of the Virgin Ladies... Im still a Virgin, Virgin...
