Behind the Scenes: Returning to the Sailawaze Excellence Awards Judging Panel

We’re thrilled to announce our return to the judging panel for the 2025 Sailawaze Excellence Awards!

After an inspiring experience in 2024, we’re thrilled to announce our return to the judging panel for the 2025 Sailawaze Excellence Awards (SEAs). It’s an honour to continue being part of this prestigious event, which celebrates the very best of the cruise industry across categories such as Technology, Wellness, Sustainability, and Food & Beverage.

A Fresh Look at Excellence Across the Industry

Our role as judges is to evaluate the latest innovations, trends, and achievements in cruising. Last year, we saw remarkable entries, from Princess Cruises’ cutting-edge Medallion technology to Virgin Voyages’ Athletic Club, setting a new standard for wellness at sea. As we prepare for 2025, we’re excited to discover even more groundbreaking contributions to the cruising experience.

Presenting the Award for Inclusion

We were honoured to present the Award for Inclusion in 2024, a category that resonates deeply with us. Royal Caribbean’s Autism Friendly Program was a well-deserved winner, recognised for its inclusive approach to creating a welcoming environment for all guests. Also, Celebrity Cruises’ LGBTQ+ initiatives were highlighted, fostering a more inclusive atmosphere for the LGBTQ community. While we don’t yet know which category we’ll be presenting in 2025, we look forward to celebrating another deserving winner in this important area, continuing to champion inclusivity across the industry.

Celebrating the Pioneers of 2025

The 2025 SEAs will showcase some truly exciting advancements across a range of categories, including:

  • Technology: For innovations that elevate the cruise experience.
  • Wellness: For offering exceptional wellness at sea.
  • Entertainment: For captivating and inspiring guests.
  • Excursions: For delivering immersive shore experiences.
  • Inclusion: For creating accessible, inclusive environments.
  • Sustainability: For commitment to environmental responsibility.
  • Collaborations: For successful partnerships that enhance the cruise experience.
  • Food & Beverage: For setting new culinary standards.

Looking Ahead to 2025

Being part of the SEAs is a true privilege, and we’re excited to continue judging the very best of the cruise industry. With 2025 fast approaching, we can’t wait to see what new innovations will be celebrated, and we’re looking forward to recognising the achievements that will shape the future of cruising.
