We’re setting sail on Norwegian Aqua’s maiden voyage—NCL’s first Prima Plus Class ship. Departing Southampton on 28 March 2025, this seven-night transatlantic crossing will take us to Boston, with all the excitement of a brand-new ship, thrilling new features, and NCL’s signature high-energy experience.
Before We Board: A Day in Southampton
A pre-cruise wander around Southampton’s Old Town is a must—Tudor House & Garden for a bit of history, then over to Oxford Street for a seafood lunch at The Oxford Brasserie. Fully fuelled, we’ll head to the terminal, where Norwegian Aqua will be waiting to take us across the Atlantic.
Day 1: All Aboard & Sailaway Vibes
Once onboard, it’s time to explore. First stop? Norwegian Aqua’s headline act—the world’s first Aqua Slidecoaster. We’ll check out our stateroom, grab a sailaway cocktail at Infinity Beach, and wave goodbye to the UK as we head west.
Day 2: A Sea Day Done Right
No land in sight—just time to unwind. A lazy breakfast at Surfside Café, a soak in the Thermal Spa’s salt room, and a dip in the infinity pool. Come evening, we’ll dress up for dinner at Palomar, where fresh Mediterranean seafood takes centre stage.
Day 3: Adrenaline & Entertainment
A morning ride on the Aqua Slidecoaster (because one go is never enough), followed by a session in the Galaxy Pavilion’s VR playground. Mini golf for a breather, then Broadway-style entertainment in the theatre to round off the night.
Day 4: Eat, Sip, Repeat
Hudson’s panoramic breakfast, street food-style bites at Indulge Food Hall, and a cocktail masterclass at Belvedere Bar. Dinner? Onda by Scarpetta for Italian done right.
Day 5: Fresh Air & Chill Vibes
Yoga on Ocean Boulevard, a jog around the promenade, and time to soak in Vibe Beach Club’s hot tubs with a glass of fizz in hand. Live music at The Local Bar & Grill keeps the mood going into the night.
Day 6: Self-Care & Starlit Parties
Mandara Spa, a deep tissue massage, and a long lunch at Indulge Food Hall (small plates, big flavours). As the sun sets, it’s cocktails at Metropolitan Bar before heading to the open-air nightclub to dance under the stars.
Day 7: One Last Hurrah
Final sea day means ticking off the last few must-dos—The Drop, The Rush, and a round of darts at The Bull’s Eye. A last sunset from The Concourse, a final toast to an epic voyage, then it’s time to pack up for Boston.
Arrival in Boston: A Grand Finale
Docking in Boston, we’ll hit the Freedom Trail for a slice of American history before diving into the city’s food scene. And what better way to wrap up a week at sea than catching a Red Sox game at Fenway Park?
The Verdict? An Unmissable Maiden Voyage
Sailing Norwegian Aqua’s first-ever cruise isn’t just about getting from A to B—it’s about the thrill of a new ship, the rush of world-first attractions, indulgent dining, and those unbeatable ocean views. Adventure, relaxation, and plenty of surprises—bring it on.
