Kuala Lumpa

Must do's

Things we did and we think you should too...

Ride the rails

We opted to get the train into and out of Kuala Lumpur and a short 'Grab' ride to the local Klang Station. The journey takes just over an hour to KL. Sentral where you can get subways from. More info Here.

Cave of Wonders

Make sure you climb the 272 steps. Once you’ve caught your breath you’re welcomed into main entrance of the cave complex, which is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside of India. The vast caves swallow you up, with brightly painted statues and temples inside, with vines hanging from the cavernous openings, casting hazy sunlight on the floor, all mixed together with the sent and smoke of incense in the air.

Pool Deck

Check out the W Hotel Kuala Lumpur's 'Wet Deck' outdoor pool and bar on 8th floor, with standing views of the Petronas Towers, great food and chilled vibes. Its a great was to escape the chaos of the streets below.

Top Tips

Tips to help you have a great time on shore.

Uber?

No - download Grab, its works in many south asian countries you're bound to visit on your cruise

Currency?

Malaysian Ringgit is the local currency.- ATMs are not available in port, but can be found easily in Kuala Lumpa.

Dock Side?

There is little to nothing available in the port; plan ahead. Most cruise lines will offer a shuttle to the port entrance, next to a gas station. Taxi's will wait here - agree the price before travelling or use Grab.
