Embarkation Port - Mumbai

Like the city it's in, Mumbai port can be a little bit chaotic and very bureaucratic! Ensure you have all the correct visas for the countries you're visiting on your itinerary. Many countries stipulate online landing cards and ensure you cary the required photocopies as suggested by your cruise line. Ensure your pack patience too!

Must do's

Things we did and we think you should too...

Ride the rails!

Catch one of the local trains a couple of stops, ride with the doors open, hang out and feel the breeze. It's a great way to see the city with a side of adrenaline thrown in! (Make sure you ride outside of rush hour!)

Live like a Raj

Check in or just visit the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, the first hotel in India. Visit its stunning restaurants, cocktail bars, or have afternoon tea in the sea lounge. if you're lucky enough to stay at the Taj you can dine alfresco in the evening and enjoy the lobster BBQ by the pool.

Beep Beep!

Be sure to ride a tuk tuk at some point and experience weaving in and out of the traffic and cows.

Yes! For both Taxi's and Tuk-Tuks, you can also use bolt.

Currency?

Indian Rupee is the local currency.- ATMs are not available in port, but you may find them wherever you venture to. Currency is closed in India, customs laws dont allow you to import it.

Dock Side?

The dock itself is a bit of a walk from the main attractions, we would recommend you get an Uber to the Gateway of India area.
